Hanging of the Greens
Come join us on Sunday, December 1st 2013 in the Fellowship Hall at the St. James East campus to prepare our beautiful church for the Advent season. This event is for all ages and will give the East and West folks a chance to mingle. We’ll begin in the Fellowship Hall with a baked potato bar with all the fixins’ at 12:30 p.m. Then we’ll head upstairs to decorate the Sanctuary and Welcome Center. Christian Life will provide the potatoes, chili, toppings, and drinks. All we ask you to bring is yourselves, your enthusiasm, and a dessert or side to share.
Come, see why many refer to us as "the church with the warm heart."
Whether you prefer upbeat, contemporary worship services, or something more traditional is your style, St. James United Methodist Church has something for everyone.
We offer a variety of Sunday morning worship styles and times for you at two locations.
- St. James East: we offer traditional worship services at both 8:15 and 9:45 a.m. These services are in English and feature our organist/pianist, chancel choir, and the great hymns of the faith. We also offer a Hispanic worship at 11:30 a.m. This Spanish speaking service is filled with great songs, fellowship, and preaching.
- St. James West: we offer a contemporary worship service at 10:00 a.m. This English speaking service is led by a praise team and we sing contemporary Christian music with some traditional hymns arranged for the band. The use of projector and screen allow us to utilize a lot of multi-media in the services.
Child care is offered at all four worship services.
Join us for services at St. James East or West to discover why we are "the church with the warm heart."
